Surfside Pizza
About This Spot
Stepping into Surfside Pizza feels like joining a familiar rhythm pulsing just beneath the coastal breeze of Morro Bay. It’s a spot where the pace is unhurried and the vibe relaxed—a takeout haven where conversations hum alongside the reggae tunes that drift through the air. Here, the blend of hand-tossed dough and fresh, thoughtfully layered toppings unfolds like a quiet ritual, inviting you to savor a moment that’s both simple and distinctly local.
The atmosphere carries the effortless charm of a seaside retreat. Though Surfside is primarily takeout, there’s a palpable warmth in the way the pizzas arrive—each one a little personal celebration, built with care and a touch of playful flair. Whether choosing a classic Margherita that balances delicate herbs with a tender crust, or exploring something unexpected like the sweet surprise of mandarin oranges atop the Atomic pie, there’s always an element of discovery on the menu. It’s easy to imagine locals and visitors alike unwinding with a generous slice after a day of seaside adventure, sharing stories in the salty air.
Surfside’s charm lies in its dedication to straightforward goodness without fuss. The crust strikes a thoughtful balance—thin enough to let the toppings shine, but with enough bite to hold its own. Toppings are generous, with flavors that feel honest and well-matched rather than overwhelming. And while it’s a no-frills kind of place, there’s undeniable character here—whether in the bubbling cheese, the smoky notes of BBQ chicken, or the crisp edges kissed by the wood-fired oven.
There's something quietly reassuring about Surfside Pizza, a place where the focus is on giving a little joy through food that’s approachable yet thoughtfully crafted. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best experiences happen not in grand gestures but in the comfort of a beloved local favorite—simple, reliable, and just right for the moment.

Best pizza in town in my opinion, good pizza and straight to the point. Easy breezy. Other places are good, but the margarita pizza here will always be my first choice

Was in the mood for a personal treat during a vacation in this area. This spot only does take out, but the large BBQ chicken pizza came out amazing presentation wise. Flavor was also pretty balanced and very enjoyable. Highly recommend if you're looking to spoil yourself.

If you're ever in Cayucos and you are desiring some pizza you must stop here. With Reggae music in the background and your pizza being hand-tossed by Pizzaiolo makes for a friendly atmosphere. You don't have to wait long for a well-made pizza with all the ingredients you can imagine.

Was in the mood for pizza, along with wanting to try something a bit different… So I did! I ordered the Atomic pizza because it has Mandarin Oranges on it, that’s different. After going back & forth, I ordered it & glad I did! The pizza itself is good, and the mandarin orange adds a nice little sweet flavor, which all goes together well! It’s not overpowering, so you don’t have to worry about that. Looking for something a bit different? Try this out, won’t be disappointed! All in all: Friendly service, good food & can look at the ocean while you eat!

Pizza was good and I would gladly go again. Was it the best pizza I've ever had, no, but still good. The flavor was good, and the toppings were generous. The sauce needed a little something.....possibly more garlic. The dough was great, and I did like the thin crust. I don't like to be overpowered by dough, and this was just right. Yes, I would recommend this pizza parlor, and I would eat here again.
